@ Act 1:
@ [Narrator] Starlet O'Skara was not beautiful, 
@ but enthralled by her charm, men seldom realized this.
@ It's sunset on the beautiful Vara grounds and Starlet 
@ entertains the twins, Kal and Ort Porolton.
@ [MOVEMENT: Narrator goes into house and changes
@ into Sammi costume]
@ [MOVEMENT: twins and Starlet sit on porch - 
@ one on either side of Starlet]
@ [Starlet] I'm so looking forward to the ball tomorrow after the BBQ.
@ Pa even bought me a brand new ball gown!
@ [Starlet] *eyes glow dreamily*
@ [Kal] Never mind the ball! Did you hear that the Mayor 
@ said he will soon declare war on the Daemons and Liches in Wind!?!
@ [Starlet] War! War! War! If I hear the word War one more time, 
@ I'll not eat at the BBQ with either of you tomorrow!
@ [Ort] Starlet Honey! There has to be a war! 
@ The Daemons and Liches are trying to leave Wind to take over the city!
@ [MOVEMENT: Starlet stands and moves from the twins
@ and they follow]
@ [Kal] What if we tell you a secret? Will you eat with us then?
@ [Ort] It's a really good secret Starlet! 
@ I heard it myself from John Silks when he told your Pa!
@ [Starlet] Well, maybe.
@ [Kal] You remember Kelly Hammer from Jhelom?
@ [Starlet] *nods*
@ [Ort] Ashton is going to announce his engagement 
@ to her tomorrow night at the ball!
@ [Starlet begins pacing and thinking to herself via *emotes*]
@ [Starlet] *paces back and forth, thinking...*
@ *Ashton can't marry Kelly, because I love Ashton!*
@ *Ashton doesn't know I love him.*
@ *That's why he hasn't asked me to marry him.*
@ *All I have to do, is tell him.*
@ *Maybe I'll make him jealous first.*
@ *Then, if that doesn't work, I'll just tell him.*
@ [MOVEMENT: Twins mount ethereal horses and gallop 
@ halfway up isle and pause to speak]
@ [MOVEMENT: Sammi steps onto the balcony]
@ [Ort] What do you reckon we said wrong Kal?
@ [Kal] *shrugs*
@ Who knows, Ort. Girls are funny 
@ creatures sometimes.
@ [Ort] Hey! Let's go to the Defense Minister's! 
@ Maybe he can feed us supper.
@ [Kal] That's much better than Mother finding out we 
@ were kicked out of another school! Let's go!
@ [MOVEMENT: twins leave via the teleporter and 
@ return to backstage]
@ [Sammi] Mizz Starlet! How comes you didn't invite 
@ those Gentlemens to dinner! Shame on you!
@ And outside in the night air without your shawl!
@ I done teached you better than that, Miss Starlet!
@ Yunz get on in here my lamb and we'll eat supper soon!
@ [MOVEMENT: Starlet runs toward teleporter, pausing midway]
@ [Starlet] No Sammi! I'm going to wait on Pa to come back from the Silk's!
@ [Starlet exits via teleporter and returns backstage]
@ [end of Act 1]
@ [SET CHANGE: Stagehands move to the stage and drop 
@ picnic tables and benches in front of house]
@ 
@ Act 2:
@ [At BBQ, Starlet flirts with twins vying for position beside her]
@ [Kal] *nudges Ort*
@ [Ort] *pokes Kal*
@ [Starlet] *smiles coyly at the twins*
@ *bats eyelashes*
@ [MOVEMENT: Twins take a seat on each side of Starlet]
@ [Ashton and Kelly sit at another table holding hands]
@ [Ashton] *lovingly holds Kelly's hand*
@ [Kelly] *looks adoringly at Ashton*
@ [Bret leans against the building watching Starlet with interest]
@ [Bret] *leans against the wall*
@ *eyes narrow while watching Starlet with interest*
@ [Narrator] The next day at the BBQ, Starlet puts her plan into action.
@ Starlet does not know that someone else has put their  
@ own plans into action on this bright sunny day.
@ The best laid plans do seem to always go astray.
@ Each of the beaux want to be the one she favors. 
@ Starlet recieved 5 Marriage proposals that day... 
@ Except from the one she truly loves... Ashton...
@ *fades away*
@ [Narrator hides or walks to obscure stage location]
@ [Starlet] *looks longingly at Ashton* 
@ Boys! Boys! So much attention shall turn my head, if you all are not careful.
@ [Kal] Let me get you some cake, Starlet darlin.
@ [Ort] No, I will Starlet honey, if you'll allow me.
@ [Starlet] I think perhaps... Bret may get my cake.
@ [MOVEMENT: Pre-Assigned member of the Audience runs down 
@ the isle and calls out for all to hear] 
@ [War Announcer] It's War! It's War! 
@ The Mayor has declared War on the Daemons and Liches of Wind! 
@ All men must report to their Commanding Officers by 
@ dawn's first light! War! War!
@ [MOVEMENT: Audience member returns to their seat]
@ [MOVEMENT: Twins return to the house]
@ [MOVEMENT: Bret advances on Starlet]
@ [Bret] You should know Starlet that your father gave his 
@ permission for us to marry.
@ We will be married before the day is through.
@ [Bret] *smug grin*
@ [Starlet] Oh no, we won't! We'll see what Ashton has to say about that!
@ *flounces over to Ashton*
@ Ashton! Oh, my darling, Ashton! I love you so!
@ You cannot marry Kelly because I know you love me!
@ [Ashton] We must not say things that we might later regret Starlet.
@ Yes, I love your passion for life and you are beautiful,
@ But I am marrying Kelly.
@ [Starlet] *frowns and looks stunned*
@ [Ashton] Besides, I heard your Pa say that you are to marry 
@ Captain  Butter, this very day.
@ [Starlet] *gasps*
@ [MOVEMENT: Starlet huffs into the house followed by
@ Ashton and Bret]
@ [Starlet] *walks away in a huff*
@ [SET CHANGE: Stagehands pick up tables]
@ [COSTUME CHANGES: Wedding attire for Ashton, Kelly,
@ Bret and Starlet]
@ [The twins go to the audience and 
@ beg women to marry them as well.. 
@ if the ladies agree, the ladies join the actors
@ on the stage for celebrating]
@ [Ashton & Kelly talk love words and
@ have eyes only for each other]
@ [Kelly] *smiles lovingly at Ashton*
@ [Ashton] *leans down and kisses Kelly gently on the cheek*
@ [Bret speaks of his love to Starlet]
@ [Bret] *eyes smoulder, locking Starlet in his gaze*
@ [Bret] Starlet, one day you will learn to love me,
@ as much as I love you.
@ [Starlet watches Ashton and Kelly jealously]
@ [Starlet] *jealously eyes Ashton and Kelly*
@ [Narrator] There was a frenzy of activity as the young couples in 
@ love rushed to get Married before the men left for Wind. 
@ Among these couples were Ashton and Kelly, Bret and Starlet.
@ All the city stayed up late in the night celebrating the War and Marriages.
@ Until... as the sun peaked over the horizen, it was time for hasty goodbyes, 
@ for the men had a War to fight.
@ *fades away*
@ [Narrator hides or goes to obscure stage location]
@ [MOVEMENT: All the men mount up on erethral mounts, 
@ and hoop and holler as they go off to Wind.
@ Ladies return to backstage]
@ [Narrator] There will be a brief Intermission during a set change. 
@ Refreshments will be served outside.
@ 
@ Act 3:
@ [Narrator] The War in Wind raged on for 4 long years. 
@ The women survived in utter poverty but did so proudly
@ as they bragged of their men's letters home. 
@ Heroes were made in Wind, lives were lost and
@ the men kept fighting valiantly.
@ One bright sunny day though, the men finally returned to their homes. 
@ There was much celebration in the streets and 
@ homes of the returning Warriors. Life would continue
@ and the city would once again, thrive.
@ The men return from Wind, much less exuberant, than when they left.
@ Starlet and Bret were having quite a turbulent homecoming.
@ *fades away*
@ [MOVEMENT: Narrator hides, or walks to obscure part of stage]
@ [MOVEMENT: Starlet and Bret wrestle each other]
@ [Starlet] Bret! Why can't we go to Ashton and Kelly's to welcome Ashton home?
@ [Bret] Because of that conversation I overheard in the stables Starlet! 
@ You're my wife and I'll be darned if I'm going to share you the 
@ moment I get home!
@ Tell me Starlet, do you still love Ashton?
@ [Starlet] *smacks Bret*
@ That was ages ago Bret! How unfair of you!
@ *thinks: "Oh, my Darling Ashton, I do love you!"*
@ [Bret] I can tell by the dreamy expression on your face 
@ every thought you have, my dear Starlet.
@ I'll take you, but dress appropriately first, my little harlot!
@ [Bret shoves at her a red dress to her]
@ [MOVEMENT: Bret drops red dress on ground]
@ [Bret] *shoves a hideous red dress at Starlet*
@ [MOVEMENT: Starlet picks up red dress and goes to change]
@ [Starlet] *fuming, takes the dress and goes to change*
@ [MOVEMENT: Starlet returns in slut dress]
@ [Starlet] *prances around in the slut dress*
@ [Lights dim in Starlet and Bret's house]
@ [Narrator] The scene next door was much different, as a tender 
@ homecoming is cherished.
@ [Lights brighten in Ashton and Kelly's home]
@ [Kelly] Oh Ashton! I've been so ill.  I thought
@ I'd never see you again, my love.
@ Dear Starlet took such good care of me.
@ [Kelly] *smiles weakly*
@ [Ashton] *gazes lovingly at Kelly with grave concern*
@ You have to be strong my darling. I'm here now.
@ We have the rest of our lives together.
@ *smiles bravely*
@ [Kelly] I love you so Ashton, but I'm afraid my time is near. 
@ Hold my hand while you tell me how our lives could have been.
@ [Ashton] *grips Kelly's hand like he will never let go*
@ [Ashton] Kelly, my sweet Kelly... We're to have 4 children
@ and a dog... a home full of love and laughter.
@ We're to have books lining the walls so we can read together 
@ about many grand adventures.
@ Once you're stronger, we'll have adventures of our own, my love.
@ [MOVEMENT: Kelly drinks lesser poison potion]
@ [Kelly] *looks deathly ill*
@ My Dear Ashton, it's almost time. Please go next door 
@ and get Starlet and Captain Butter for me.
@ [MOVEMENT: Ashton runs next door to get the Butters.]  
@ [MOVEMENT: Bret and Starlet follows Ashton back]
@ [Kelly] *reaches out to weakly grasp Starlet's hand*
@ Starlet dear, I must ask you. Please take care of Ashton.
@ He needs caring for so badly.
@ [Starlet] *looks concerned*
@ I promise Kelly, but you can't die! I need you!
@ [MOVEMENT: Kelly takes lethal poison here]
@ [Kelly] *moans in pain*
@ [Ashton] *pushes Starlet out of the way and takes Kelly's hand* 
@ [Bret] *sneers while whispering to Starlet*
@ [Bret] How nice that you have the first wife's permission, my dear.
@ [Bret] *storms out and goes home to pack his bags*
@ [Starlet] *torn between watching Bret leave and Kelly die*
@ *It is Bret I love. After all these years, now I know.*
@ [Starlet] *runs after Bret*
@ [lights dim in Ashton and Kelly's home and Ashton cries out]
@ [Ashton] KELLY! NO KELLY!
@ [Starlet] *panting for breath*
@ Bret!  Bret my darling! I never knew, but I do now! 
@ I love you Bret!
@ [Bret] *glares at Starlet with contempt*
@ How unfortunate for you Madam. 
@ You always seem to love someone you cannot have.
@ [Starlet] *panics*
@ You don't understand Bret! I love you! I love you! 
@ I have not loved Ashton in a long time.
@ I think it was a habit, more than anything.
@ [Bret] *sneers*
@ Starlet, you're like a child with a broken toy. 
@ You do not want it until it is broken.
@ I cannot live like this my dear. I will not. I'm leaving you my dear.
@ [Starlet] *looks around in a panic*
@ But Bret! Where will I go? What will I do?
@ [Bret] Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn.
@ [MOVEMENT: Bret walks out the door and up the isle to the teleporter, 
@ then returns backstage]
@ [Starlet] *stunned... watches Bret leave*
@ *speaks with a determined look and voice*
@ I love you Bret Butter. I'll get you back somehow.
@ I do not know when, or how, but someday you'll love me again.
@ I'll think about that tomorrow.
@ *gazes hopefully into the distance*
@ [Narrator] This concludes our show!
@ We hope you enjoyed the play.
@ How about a great round of applause for the actors as they come back on stage!
@ [MOVEMENT: All actors line up on stage and
@ will bow 3 times after Narrator says next line]
@ [Narrator] I present to you the actors tonight!
@ [MOVEMENT: BOW 3 times]
@ [Narrator] Thank you for having us for our 
@ theatrical presentation of "Gone to Wind"!
@ Farewell and Good Day!
@ [MOVEMENT: All Actors head off stage or curtain closes]
@ [END - Mingle with the audience]
