Open Air Dueling Arena

The PaxLair Open Air Dueling Arena is located behind the Mage Tower in PaxLair City. It was placed as a "blessing" by IGM's of UO in an attempt to have a semi-secure place for people to have duels. It is a permanent structure and a unique place on Chesapeake.

PaxLair Law (Aggression Law) dictated that all fighting would only take place inside this arena, not inside houses nor on the city streets.

Building details

The Open Air Dueling Arena is open to all. The doors have key locks that were used to help secure the it from disruption (the keys do not function anymore). A central stone block stand allows a person to judge the match. Additional blocks are located inside and outside each door for guards. A permanent message board and book are outside the east door initially installed to announce duels and fight nights. A post-sign outside the west door announces people may enter at their own risk. A throne chair appeared one day when an IGM visited to observe PaxLair City and some duels. He left the throne chair permanently in place.
